Workshop held for Mango Municipal Corporation cleaning staff

Jamshedpur: A workshop on �Hazardous Cleaning of Sewers and Septic Tanks� was held for the cleaning workers of Mango Municipal Corporation (MMC) on Saturday. The officers, manages, engineers and sanitary supervisors of MMC were also present on this occasion. The workshop was conducted by Blooming Life Multi Services Private Limited.

The workers were asked not to clean septic tanks and sewerage without wearing safety equipments and devices. The cleaning workers should be provided gloves, masks and boots. First kerosene oil and bleaching powder mixture should be put into the septic tanks and cleaning work should be done, said the trainers.

Rajendra Prasad Gupta, Special Officer of MMC, said surprise inspection visits would be carried out to ensure compliance with safety standards.
