Jamshedpur, Sep 22: A 33 year-old daily worker, identified as Raju Singh Sardar, a native of Balrampur, Purulia, died after falling from the second floor of Hotel Siddhartha at Bistupur. He was taken to MGM hospital where he was declared brought dead.
Sources said the incident occurred around 7 am when Sardar was working as a daily worker on a renovation work. He was working at the second floor without any safety equipment. There was no railing on the stairs. He was critically injured in the sudden fall. His family members demanded compensation from the contractor concerned.
