Keshavji Chhaganlal launches lab-grown diamond collection in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, Sep 22: Limelight, India’s leading sustainable diamond luxury brand is poised to make lab-grown diamonds (LGD) everyone’s best friend.

India is on its way to becoming a hub for the production and processing of LGDs.

Keeping in mind the demand for diamond jewellery, Keshavji Chhaganlal, leading jeweller of Jamshedpur will be launching Jharkhand’s first Limelight lab grown diamond collection in Steel City on September 23.

Lab-grown CVD (Chemical Vapor Deposition) diamond-studded jewellery including rings, earrings, pendants, bracelets and necklace sets will be available at Keshavji Chhaganlal’s Bistupur and Sakchi showrooms.  

Ahead of the launch, Siddharth Adesara, Owner of Keshavji Chhaganlal informed about the difference between lab-created diamonds and mined diamonds, their affordability and environment-friendly tag.

“Lab-grown diamonds are just as beautiful as mined diamonds, but available to more people. LGDs are identical to mined diamonds, but grown in a laboratory rather than excavated from a mine. They have the same optical, chemical, thermal and physical characteristics and are graded by the same standards known as the 4Cs – cut, colour, clarity and carat,” said Siddharth.

Replying to a query, jeweller said, lab-grown diamonds are attracting the new generation of shoppers as they’re not only non-controversial but also 60% cheaper when compare it with mined diamonds and are becoming an increasingly popular choice for promise rings. 

He stated that awareness of LGDs is growing slowly in India and younger consumers are seeking affordability and turning away from mined jewels as unethical and environmentally harmful.

At nearly half the price with identical physical and optical properties, lab grown diamonds are a great alternative to mined diamonds.
