Sainya Matri Shakti Samman Samaroh held in Kharangajhar
Jamshedpur: Not only soldiers but their better halves too, lead a life of courage and sacrifice. These women love the country and serve it in their own way. This was observed on Sunday by Dr Ragini Bhushan while addressing a gathering as the chief guest during Sainya Matri Shakti Samman Samaroh organized in Kharangajhar, Telco, under the aegis of Ganesh Temple Committee, Kharangajhar, Telco.
The programme began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp and paying of floral tributes to a portrait of Bharat Mata by the guests. The dignitaries invited to the event included Dr Poonam Sahay, temple committee president Jambunathan and state secretary of Kreeda Bharati Rajeev Kumar. National Anthem was also sung on the occasion by childen. An aarti of Bharat Mata was also held during the inaugural function.
In the welcome speech, former soldier and member of Poorva Sainik Seva Parishad Shatrughan Prasad said the organizers had done a great job by honouring the wives of former and present soldiers.
As many as 67 women were honoured in today�s programme. Members of Poorva Sainik Seva Parishad were also felicitated in the occasion.
