Jamshedpur, July 3: Tata Steel’s Sports Department organised Inter-Divisional Carrom Tournament (Men) on July 2 to 3, at the JFC Media Centre, JRD Tata Sports Complex. Vibhuti Dhand Adesara, Head, Tata Steel Training Centres and Academies, graced the occasion as Chief Guest.
The tournament witnessed enthusiastic participation from a total of 110 participants from 19 units of Tata Steel.
In a display of exceptional skill and sportsmanship, the team from Wire Division emerged as the winners whereas OMQ Division bagged the runner’s up position. West Bokaro Division emerged as the 2nd runner’s up in this tournament.
To ensure fair play and adherence to the rules during the successfully organised event, the tournament benefited from the expertise of renowned technical officials, including Tilak Ram, Jaswant Sahoo and Ajay Hembram who performed their roles admirably.
Tata Steel’s commitment to promoting sports and fostering a spirit of camaraderie among its workforce was evident throughout the tournament. The event provided an excellent platform for employees to showcase their Carrom skills and foster a healthy competition.
