Gamharia, May 20: William Shakespeare Day was celebrated at XITE College in Gamharia. The programme was organized by the English Department of the College under the guidance of Prof Shalu Kant. Among Shakespeare’s prominent comedies is his ‘Mid Summer Night’s Dream’ that was staged by the students of the College. Ballroom dances and solo songs were also organized by the XITE students.
College Principal, Fr Francis, speaking on the occasion observed that the spirit and dedication of the students were very much visible while organizing the William Shakespeare Day celebrations. He congratulated the English Department team for organizing the highly successful programme.
Those present during the programme included Dr Partha Priya Das, Dr Pompey Sen Gupta, Dr Sanchita, Dr Pramod Singh, Prof Amit Chaturvedi, Prof Shailesh Dubey, Prof Sushmita Sen and others were present during the programme.
