Will make Jamshedpur safe and secure city: SSP

Jamshedpur, Jan 30: Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) of East Singhbhum Prabhat Kumar Monday said the district police department was making efforts to make the city safe and secure. He said the cooperation of the people of the city was essential to make this possible.

A national survey on women’s safety conducted recently by an agency had declared Jamshedpur to be the safest city for women in the country. In order to maintain this status, the cooperation of one and all is needed, said the SSP during a special camp organized to return stolen, lost or looted mobile phones to their owners by the district police.

The SP said people should not purchase stolen or unclaimed phones and deposit them, if found, at the nearest police station.

The SP said the city police had achieved cent per cent success in solving crime cases. He acknowledged the cooperation and support of SP City, SP Rural, all DSPs and officers in making this possible. He said there was no pending case in which police had not achieved success. The people of this city are cooperating with the police and I hope this will continue, he said.
