Waves of devotees mark Rudrabhishek hosted by Saryu Roy in Jamshedpur

 

Jamshedpur, July 11: A grand Rudrabhishek ceremony was held on Friday at the residence of Jamshedpur West MLA Saryu Roy, drawing waves of devotees. The spiritual program, which began in the morning with the worship of Lord Ganesha and Mata Ambika, continued till 1:45 PM, culminating in a Namak-Chamak Rudrabhishek, Aarti, Pushpanjali, and bhajans.

Following the completion of the rituals, Mahaprasad distribution began, witnessing participation of over 70,000 devotees. The Prasad was served at Milani Hall with more than 50 counters set up to ensure smooth distribution. Volunteers including Rakesh, Shail Singh, Hareram Singh, and members of the Jharkhand Shrivari Seva Dal helped manage the crowd and food distribution efficiently.

One of the highlights was the Hathikan Puri, which garnered much praise among the attendees. The Mahaprasad also included potato-brinjal curry, pointed gourd (parwal) curry, sweet tomato chutney, and Bundia.

Key hosts of the Rudrabhishek included Akanksha Nair, Anshul Sharan (Yugantar Bharti President), Parul Singh, and Rohel Ranjan, along with several spiritual leaders and local Shiv devotees. The event was conducted under the guidance of Gaurishankar Thakur from Begusarai and a team of priests.

The atmosphere was one of unity and devotion, as barriers of caste, religion, and political affiliation dissolved in shared spiritual experience and community service. (w/gsd)
