Jamshedpur, January 18: A meeting was held between Tata Steel Utilities Infrastructure and Services Limited (TSUIS) senior executive and Jamshedpur East MLA Saryu Roy regarding the supply of drinking water in different areas of his constituency.Â
During the meeting, Dhananjay Mishra, senior executive of TSUIS assured that drinking water supply in all habitations except Babudih and Lalbhatta would start from June this year. The work of supplying drinking water in Babudih and Lalbhatta will also start soon. The survey and costing work has been completed for these locations too and that the date of supply of water in these two locations would be known in the month of March. The areas where drinking water supply will start from the month of June are-Manifit, Laxminagar, Namda Basti (New), Namda Basti (Old), Moharda Basti, Cable Town, Harijan Basti, Birsanagar Zone No 1B- Petrol Pump Area Near Aastha Twin City, Birsanagar Zone No 8, 3, 4, 5, 6, 10, Bagunhatu, Bagunnagar, Moharda, Moharda Basti, Shivpuri Colony, B Ed College Area, Bhuiyandih Basti, Gwala Basti, Brahmin Tola, Visheshwar Khan, Nagvanshi Colony, Vikas Samiti Shivnagar, Nand Nagar Hill etc.
Apart from this, it was also informed  that drainage work construction in the Brahmin Tola of Bhuiyandih can start any day. All preparations have been made for this.TSUIS also accepted for restoration and repair work in Bhuiyadih Park, Baridih Pandey Park, Namda Basti and other parks,
MLA Saryu Rai gave him a list of about 150 small and big roads of different localities, which need to be repaired as well as sewerage work.Â
“We have to accept the challenge of making those areas of Jamshedpur better, developed and beautiful, which are still backward in terms of public facilities. Special attention will have to be paid to the area between Chhayanagar-Kishori Nagar to Babudih-Lalbhatta, where the population is very dense and is deprived of facilities. This area and some other inhabited areas like the area are priority areas which should be paid attention to,” said Rai.Â
