Ranchi: A war of words has started between the allies of United Progressive Alliance (UPA) ahead of counting of votes scheduled to take place on 16th May. Distances are growing among the allies within merely a couple of days of conclusion of Lok Sabha polls.
State Congress president Sukhdev Bhagat has made the situation further embarrassing for the state government by saying that the Hemant Soren government has failed in its efforts so far. He also said that the Congress party was not willing to enter any alliance.
Meanwhile, Trinamool Congress MLA Bandhu Tirkey, who is currently supporting the state government, today said that fresh elections in the state would be better option than continuing to support the government. Another politician, senior Jharkhand Mukti Morcha leader and minister Simon Marandi is also a dissident leader at present.
Jharkhand Party MLA Enos Ekka who has been supporting the government has also challenged Khunti Congress candidate Kalicharan Munda. Another MLA Gita Koda has contested from Singhbhum seat while Chamra Linda has contested from Lohardagga.
The fate of these MLAs will definitely influence the direction in which the state politics will move in the coming times. For the time being, all MLAs are waiting for Lok Sabha results to formulate further strategy.
