Walking competition spreads awareness on health

Jamshedpur : Over 300 citizens participated in a walking competition to be held at Agrico ground .

The competition, an annual affair, was organised by Jamshedpur Health Awareness Association (JHAA).

JHAA general secretary Jagannath Behera, said that men in the 35 to 45 age group participated in five rounds of the ground while those in the 46-55 age section will covered four rounds.

Three rounds were earmarked for contestants in the 56-65 age category whereas the 66-75 age group will make efforts to complete two rounds.

Men in the above-77 age section were required to undertake one round,” added Behera. Couples in the 2545 age group walked three rounds of the venue whereas those in above 46-45 are required to measure two rounds,” Behera said.

Social worker Bailey Bodhanwala was chief guest and handed over the prizes. People from nearby localities like Golmuri, Sidhgora, Sitaramdera and Bhuiyandih.
