Vivekananda International School Jamshedpur hosts thrilling CISCE Carrom finale; Church School emerges winner

Jamshedpur: The three-day CISCE Zonal Carrom Tournament 2025, hosted by Vivekananda International School, Mango, concluded successfully on June 26. Held from June 24 to 26, the tournament witnessed enthusiastic participation from students representing various ICSE schools across Jamshedpur in different age categories. The closing ceremony was graced by the Chief Guest Swami Mahabhavananda from Ramakrishna Mission, Jamshedpur, and Special Guest Chandan Kumar, Officer-in-Charge of Azadnagar Police Station. The event also saw the presence of Chief Referees Ashfaq Ahmed and Dharmveer Prasad Valmiki, along with coaches and student winners from several schools. The awards, including medals and trophies, were presented by the chief guests along with Principal Dr. Nidhi Srivastava and Administrator Soumya Deep.

The tournament results were as follows:

In the Under-14 Boys category, Andhra Association English School secured first place, followed by Church School and Kerala Public School. In the Under-14 Girls category, Kerala Public School, Gamharia claimed the top spot, with J.H. Tarapore School in second and Church School in third.

The Under-17 Boys category saw Church School clinch gold, while Andhra Association English School and Vig English School took second and third places respectively. In the Under-17 Girls division, Church School emerged victorious, followed by J.H. Tarapore School and host school Vivekananda International School.

In the Under-19 Boys group, Church School once again secured first place, with Kerala Public School, Gamharia finishing second and Srikrishna Public School third. For the Under-19 Girls, J.H. Tarapore School took the top honour, followed by Kerala Public School, Gamharia and Kerala Public School.
