Shibu Soren condition remains critical, BJP demand medical bulletin

Ranchi, June 27: The health of Jharkhand’s political stalwart and JMM founder, Rajya Sabha MP Shibu Soren remains critical.

JMM has also expressed concern over the health of Dishom Guru Shibu Soren, admitted to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in Delhi. Party spokesperson Manoj Pandey said on Friday that a team of doctors is continuously treating him and he has been kept in the ICU, where only limited people are allowed to meet him.

Spokesperson Manoj Pandey informed that Shibu Soren’s health is stable right now, although no significant improvement or deterioration has been seen in it. He said that all the people of the state are praying to God that Dishom Guru returns to Jharkhand soon after getting well, because at this time Jharkhand and its people are in dire need of his guidance.

According to hospital sources, a team of specialist doctors of neurology, cardiology and nephrology is looking after him and his condition still remains worrisome. Doctors have told that he has suffered a brain stroke, due to which the left side of his body is paralyzed.

It is worth noting that 81-year-old Shibu Soren has been suffering from kidney disease for a long time and has been on dialysis for the last one year. Apart from this, he also suffers from diabetes and has also undergone heart bypass surgery.

Last Thursday, President Draupadi Murmu also visited him at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital and inquired about his health. Earlier, Governor Santosh Gangwar also reached the hospital and met Shibu Soren.

BJP is also concerned about the health of Shibu Soren. The party’s state spokesperson Pradeep Sinha said that Shibu Soren is not only the former Chief Minister of the state and currently a Rajya Sabha MP, but he is also the head of the coordination committee of the Jharkhand government. In such a situation, the state government and the Press Information Bureau (PIB) should issue an official medical bulletin regarding his health.

He said that common people are also worried about Guruji’s health and are going to the hospital to meet him. If no official information is given by the government, then misunderstanding may arise among the people. Therefore, he has urged the government or PIB to issue a medical bulletin on his current health condition.

BJP state president and Leader of Opposition Babulal Marandi has also expressed deep concern over Shibu Soren’s ill health. He wrote on the social media platform ‘X’ on Friday that he is extremely worried about the news of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha senior leader and former Chief Minister Shibu Soren being unwell. He has prayed to God for his speedy recovery and long life.
