Visiting priests perform ‘Bhagavati Seva’

, Jan 24: On the day of commencement of 66th Sri Dharma Saastha Preethi
celebrations, “Kalash Sthapana” was performed at the Temple premises this morning with the Vedic priests chanting the requisite Mantras.

After the Kalash Sthapana, Mool Mantra havan was performed by the priests for all the presiding deities of the Temple.

At the conclusion of the Havan, Abhishek was performed for Lord Ganesh and Lord Ayyappa.

In the evening, “Bhagavati Seva” was conducted by the visiting priests which was a treat to
watch as the Puja is performed with colourful flowers and also ornamentally decorated with different varieties of flowers.

Hundreds of devotees who thronged the Temple today, witnessed both the events and were offered
Prasad by the volunteers of the Temple.

P N Sankaran, Working President of the Temple and other managing committee members were
present during the day and explained the importance of the day’s Puja to the devotees.
