Seraikela: The villagers of Chhota Davna panchayat have forced the contractors of a road construction project to shut down work on charges of inferior work quality.
They went to the construction site with the local panchayat representatives and asked the workers to stop construction. They alleged that the road was not being constructed as per standards set for the job.
The village head Sukhlal Besra said the villagers were right in accusing the contractor of using sub standard construction material in the road project. He said there was no information plaque at the site to give information about the ongoing project work.
