Gamharia: Van Suraksha Samiti meeting was held during which villagers opposed to the construction of the airport in Kandra.
The meeting was led by committee chairman Santosh Hembrom. On the occasion, he said, water, forests and land are of our ancestors and we have resolved to defend. We will not allow anyone to build airport.
He said that we are not opposed to development, but development does not mean that water, forests should be eliminated.
On the occasion, Ram Hansda, Ram Majhi, Lakindra Manjhi, Bhado, Sonaram Kisku, a number of villagers were present.
