Jamshedpur, Nov 26: A grand Vijay Rath Yatra was organized to celebrate Jharkhand Mukti Morcha’s (JMM) victory in the state Assembly elections and the second straight formation of the Hemant Soren government. The procession was led by JMM leader Sonu Singh.
The rally featured cutouts of Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren and Gandey MLA Kalpana Soren. The procession saw hundreds of cars and thousands of two-wheelers, along with several prominent city dignitaries.
The Vijay Rath Yatra made its way through Tuiladungri Durga Puja Ground, RD Tata roundabout, Howrah Bridge, Kashidih roundabout and JNAC. People showered flowers along the route in a show of support. The yatra concluded at the Sakchi main roundabout with fireworks and the distribution of victory laddus.
