Jamshedpur, Oct. 14: Vishwa Hindu Parishad(VHP) members organized a Shram Daan (labour donation) campaign at Gandhi Ghat, Mango, on the banks of the Swarnarekha with the view to collect garbage and clean the place. Plastic materials scattered here and there were collected by the outfit.
The same will be given to Jusco for building roads. Chhat ghat on the river bank was also cleaned by the VHP activists.
The outfit members said the cleanliness campaign started under Swachh Bharat Abhiyan of Prime Minister Narendra Modi had started showing its effect on the city and its surroundings. A sizeable number of people have become aware of their duty towards the society and the significance of cleanliness.
Among those present during the campaign included Sanjay Kumar, Hareram Ojha, Janardan Pandey, Santosh Verma, Deepak Verma and AK Giri.
