Jadugoda: Narwa Pahar management of Uranium Corporation of India Limited today organized a health camp at Hitku Chowk.
The organizers dispensed free medicines to the people visiting the camp. They said UCIL had long been organizing health camp in the surrounding villages under Corporate Social Responsibility.
Free health check up facility is made available to people keeping in view their difficulty in reaching main hospitals in the urban areas. A large number of people in Jadugoda are unable to bear the expenses of treatment in case of serious or debilitating diseases.
More than 60 patients were examined by Dr R Khanra. Among others who helped organize the camp included SK Bhol and Ganjia Hansda.
