Jamshedpur, April 18: The names of 13 such office bearers of Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal have been mentioned in the FIR registered in connection with the communal uproar in Shastrinagar of Kadma police station area.
However, their organisation claim that they were innocent.
A delegation of office bearers of Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal met SSP Prabhat Kumar in Sakchi on Tuesday, demanding that their names be removed from the FIR after investigation. The people involved in the delegation told that the SSP has assured them that the matter will be investigated and those who are found innocent will be removed from the FIR.
Bajrang Dal convenor Deepak Thakur told that on April 9, the day the incident took place in Shastri Nagar.
At that time, between 6:00 to 6:30 in the evening, Deepak Verma, Subhash Chatterjee, Uttam Das, Pradeep Singh, Shambhu Pramanik, Suraj Raj Khatri and Roshan Kumar of Vishwa Hindu Parishad went to Kadma police station to talk to DSP Kamalkishore.
At the same time, a call came on the DSP’s phone that stones were being pelted in Shastri Nagar. After this the DSP left from there and the VHP people also went to their homes. That’s why these people are innocent.
He told that at the same time Ajay Gupta, Chandan Das and Dr. Bhola Lohar were in the Bharat Mata Pujan program at Telco from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. That’s why these people are innocent.
VHP’s Sonari resident Sanjay Singh was unwell and was at home. That’s why he is also innocent. Deepak Thakur told that Janardan Pandey, Bhim Yadav, Chandan Choubey, Anirudh Giri, Rajesh Choubey, Shankarrao and Kanhaiya Pandey were busy in their personal work and they too are innocent in this matter. The SSP has assured to investigate the matter.
