Vegetable vendors oppose demarcation of Kharangajhar market

Jamshedpur, Sept 8: Forest department has carried out demarcation of the Kharangajhar vegetable market. This has rendered around 300 vegetable vendors and traders unemployed. This was alleged by the members of Kharangajhar Vegetable Sellers Association at a meteing held in Kharangajhar, Telco, on Sunday.

During the meeting, the outfit members passed a resolution to condemn the action taken by the forest department and demanded restoration of their temporary shops. The traders said they would meet East Singhbhum deputy commissioner Ravi Shankar Shukla on 11th September in this connection and apprise him of their problems. They also decided to meet DFO Abhishek Kumar and discuss the issues with him.

Local Congress and Jharkhand Mukti Morcha leaders have supported the demands raised by the vegetable vendors.

Today�s meeting was attended by Sanjay Ghosh, Nandu Sardar, Bablu Das, Sukumar Sadar and Bunty Verma.
