JDU Vows to Fight Against Corruption in Jharkhand

Jamshedpur: The Janata Dal (United) Jamshedpur unit finalized a strategic roadmap to address public grievances and combat local corruption during a meeting at Lakhimpura in Chakulia. Presided over by State Council Member and veteran Baharagora leader Manoranjan Mahto, the gathering drew a large number of block-level officials and grassroots workers.

Strengthening the Grassroots Foundation

The party placed a primary emphasis on the rapid formation and expansion of block committees. Leaders decided to organize comprehensive meetings across all blocks to solidify the party’s foundation at the ground level. By recruiting a significant number of new members—many of whom officially joined the party during this session—the JDU aims to build a formidable organizational structure capable of effectively raising regional issues.

A War Against Corruption

During the deliberations, JDU leaders outlined a strategy to launch a mass movement against the prevailing corruption in the Chakulia region. The leadership issued a stern warning that the party will spearhead a relentless struggle “from the streets to the Assembly” to amplify the voice of the common citizen and ensure the resolution of their problems.

Strategic Leadership Assignments

Addressing the gathering, District President Subodh Srivastava assigned specific organizational responsibilities to key leaders to ensure systematic expansion:

  • Manoranjan Mahto: Tasked with expanding the party’s footprint in the Baharagora, Dhalbhumgarh, and Chakulia blocks.
  • Bir Singh Deogam (State Council Member, Potka): Charged with leading organizational drives across the Potka and Dumaria blocks, as well as 22 panchayats within the Jamshedpur block.
  • Ganesh Nayar (State Council Member, Ghatshila): Entrusted with strengthening the party across the Ghatshila, Gudabanda, and Musabani blocks.

The meeting saw active participation from several prominent leaders and workers, including District President Subodh Srivastava, Bir Singh Deogam, Ganesh Nayar, Holder Murmu, Dinesh Kumar Singh, Dinesh Kalindi, Jitendranath Gwala, Vipul Vikas Mahto, Sanjay Kalindi, Anil Kumar Patar, Anita Murmu, Balhi Soren, Meenu Murmu, Kanhai Mandi, Tapas Kumar Dey, Sunil Rana, Chintu Singh, Amal Gope, Uttam Patar, Subhash Chandra Mahto, and Pinku Singh.
