Veer Bal Diwas celebrated at Chaibasa BJP District Office

Chaibasa: Veer Bal Diwas was observed with solemnity and patriotic fervour at the Bharatiya Janata Party District Office in West Singhbhum on Friday. The programme was organized under the leadership of BJP District President Sanjay Pandey and witnessed active participation from party workers and community representatives.

Kulwant Singh Bunty, BJP co-in-charge, who specially arrived from Jamshedpur, was present as the chief guest. A large number of party workers and prominent members, including Chandra Mohan Tiyu, Rakesh Poddar, Ranjan Prasad, Ritesh Kumar, Pintu, Jai Kishan Biruli, Rajshree Banra, Rupa Das, Ajay Jha, Angad Saw, Anant Sayanam, Dilip Saw, Virendra Kumar, Jagdish Nishad, and Pankaj Singh, participated in the programme.

Addressing the gathering, Kulwant Singh Bunty said that the sacrifice of the Sahibzadas would continue to guide the soul of the nation for centuries. He said Veer Bal Diwas inspires society to imbibe the values of courage, righteousness, and sacrifice, which form the foundation of the nation’s identity. He also informed that the Sikh community observes December 20 to December 27 as Shaheedi Week, and that Prime Minister Narendra Modi declared December 26 as Veer Bal Diwas through a notification issued on January 9, 2022.

Speaking on the occasion, District President Sanjay Pandey said that Veer Bal Diwas strengthens the resolve to protect ideals and values. He stated that the Bharatiya Janata Party remains committed to instilling the spirit of patriotism, sacrifice, and dignity among children and youth.

Addressing the programme, speaker Anoop Sultania said that Veer Bal Diwas is not merely a day of remembrance, but an opportunity to ignite the flame of patriotism and self-respect in children. He said the martyrdom of the Sahibzadas teaches that in the protection of truth and righteousness, age is not decisive, but determination and courage are.

It was stated during the programme that the Government of India first celebrated Veer Bal Diwas on December 26, 2022, following an announcement made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on January 9, 2022, on the occasion of the Prakash Parv of Guru Gobind Singh Ji. The day commemorates the martyrdom and unparalleled courage of Baba Zorawar Singh Ji and Baba Fateh Singh Ji, the younger sons of the tenth Sikh Guru, Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji.
