Vedanta announces recruitment for Incab Industries, job opportunities at Jamshedpur plant

Jamshedpur: Vedanta Limited has announced a vacancy for executives in the Incab industries. Interested professionals from across the country, who were former Incab executives and consultants, have been invited to apply online for leadership positions in the company management. Applications have also been sought for the posts of engineers, supervisory staff, operators, and production staff.

Vedanta is acquiring Incab following an order issued by the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) on December 3. A notice issued by the company states that Vedanta is a mineral and energy company in India with a portfolio of $30 billion and a 1.4 percent contribution to India’s GDP.

Vedanta employs over 100,000 people, and it has acquired the Jamshedpur and Pune plants of Incab Industries, a national manufacturer of electrical and industrial cables. To this end, we are inviting former senior Incab officials from operations, finance, human resources, and other departments to join the advisory and management team to lead the company’s next chapter.

The company management has said that the officers who will be employed will be provided with a lucrative salary, along with the facility to work from anywhere. The company management, while confirming job vacancies, has said that it will be hiring officers responsible for making strategies in the company’s operations, making big decisions, and giving direction to the future of the entire organization.

Incab, which has been manufacturing industrial cables since 1920, halted production in April 2000. Several companies subsequently attempted to revive Incab. In this context, Vedanta submitted a resolution plan of Rs 545 crore to revive Incab. On December 3, 2025, the Kolkata bench of the NCLT approved this plan and ordered Vedanta to complete the acquisition process and form a board of directors within 90 days.
