Jamshedpur: The Annual Sports Day of Narbheram Hansraj English School (NHES) was held at Gopal Maidan on January 29.
The Sports event was declared open by the Chief Guest Aruna Mishra, a World Champion boxer and a Police Inspector in Jharkhand Police. The Principal, Paromita Roy Chaudhury, welcomed all the participants and guests.
The event began with the march past presented by students of Std.VI, VII, VIII and XI. This was followed by a colourful drill display by the students of Std. IV and V.
The aim of the panorama was to build awareness among all regarding the need for river conservation. Students from Std. IV to VIII participated in yoga and karate display. Yoga display consisted of demonstration of different yoga postures. Karate helps students to develop qualities such as alertness, confidence and poise.
Jr. Boy’s winner was Surya House and Vayu House. Jr. Boys Runner’s up was Varun House. Jr. Girl’s winner was Vayu House. Jr. Girl’s runner�s up- Surya House. Sr. Boy’s winner- Vayu House. Sr. Boys runner�s up -Varun House. Sr. Girl’s winner – Vayu House. Sr. Girls runner�s up-Agni house
The prizes were distributed by the Chief Guest, the Principal and the Committee Members.
The Meet was successfully organised by the sports teachers of the school, N. Murli Mohan and Bishnu Narayan Singh.
