Van Mahotsava celebrated at Raj Bhawan

Ranchi: Forest and Climate Change Department of Jharkhand government here on Wednesday celebrated Van Mahotsava at Raj Bhawan in collaboration with Bharatiya Krishi Anusandhan Parishad, Palandu, Bagwani Mission, BAU and Rai University, Ranchi.

On this occasion, Governor Draupadi Murmu, Chief Minister Raghubar Das, Jharkhand Assembly Speaker Dinesh Oraon and Leader of Opposition Hemant Soren planted 43 plants including coconut, areca nut and Arabian dates.

In the last 20 days, the forest department has planted 122 plants of guava, 63 of pomegranate, 30 of lemon, 200 of coconut, 40 of Arabian dates, 50 of custard apple, 10 of pears, 35 of peach, 20 of jackfruit, 20 of plum and hundreds of different types of other fruits.
In a public appeal, the Governor said that everybody should be careful about the ecological balance and plant trees on various occasions.
