
Jamshedpur, Aug 20: Upgraded Middle School, Tangarain hosted one-day chess competition on Monday. Vaidhnath Majhi won the competition followed by Sonu Majhi and Mahendra Sardar. Total of 36 children participated in the tournament. The competition was conducted by Arbiter Vishal Minj, Seraikela Chess Association treasurer Vikram Kumar and school’s chief chess trainer Amit Kumar. Headmaster in charge of school Arvind Kumar Tiwary, Ujjwal Mandal of school managing committee, Mangal Pan, Charan Sardar, Bablu Munda and Pranav Bhagat of Kamal Club jointly awarded the winners. East Singhbhum Chess Association played a vital role in making the competition successful. The game started at the school in May 2019 by Pritam Singh.
