Jamshedpur, Nov 24: On November 24, 2023, the Utkal Association celebrated its 90th foundation day in a lively event filled with cultural richness. Dr. Manoj Kumar Mahanta, a senior scientist at NML Jamshedpur, graced the occasion as the chief guest, accompanied by key speaker Dr. Ravindra Kumar Bihari, a distinguished Odia writer.
The gathering included prominent figures like Manoranjan Das, Trustee of Utkal Organization, Colonel Dr. Seemanchal Rawal, Trustee, SK Behera, Chief of the organization, Dr. Shridhar Pradhan, President, and Tarun Mohanty, General Secretary. Together, they illuminated the organization’s illustrious 90-year history.
Senior members who contributed significantly to the Utkal organization, such as Tarachand Patnaik, Indira Satpati, Kashinath Panda, Shivlal Sagar, Jugal Kishore Mohanty, Ashok Rai, and Hirendra Singh Dev, were honored during the ceremony.
The celebration featured a diverse cultural program, including music and drama performances by local artists. The event actively engaged Senior Vice President Dr. Sanjay Patra, Vice President Badal Bhuyan, Joint Secretary Vibhuti Bhushan Mohanty, Sushmita Patra, Treasurer Manish Das, Manoranjan Gaur, Kishore Nayak, and Govind Chandra Swain.
