United Club Jamshedpur dance workshop showcases young talent

Jamshedpur: The seven-day dance workshop jointly organized by United Club and Danfit International concluded with great enthusiasm and cultural splendor, leaving participants and audiences inspired by the power of dance and artistic expression. The workshop, which began on May 19, attracted enthusiastic participation from children and young adults eager to learn and refine their dancing skills.

Throughout the program, participants received professional training in Bollywood Freestyle and Bollywood Kathak from renowned dance instructors Kalyan Bhowmik and Mishtu Mukherjee. Beyond teaching technical dance movements, the instructors focused on enhancing stage presence, self-confidence, creativity, and expressive performance skills among the trainees.

Under their expert guidance, participants demonstrated remarkable growth and confidence over the course of the workshop. The closing ceremony provided a platform for them to showcase their newly acquired skills through vibrant performances that earned widespread appreciation from parents and guests.

A major highlight of the concluding event was the presence of celebrated Kathak artiste Purva Biswas from Kolkata, who attended as a guest performer and instructor. Her mesmerizing presentation in the traditional Kathak style, performed to Dhamar Taal, captivated the audience. With impeccable rhythmic precision, expressive storytelling, powerful footwork, and graceful choreography, she delivered a performance that left art lovers spellbound. The audience responded with prolonged applause, making her recital one of the most memorable moments of the evening.

The workshop also reflected the dedication and enthusiasm of the participants, who displayed discipline, commitment, and a genuine passion for learning throughout the training period. Organizers emphasized that such initiatives played a crucial role in nurturing creativity, building confidence, and fostering appreciation for India’s rich artistic and cultural traditions among the younger generation.

Adding an international dimension to the event, key highlights of the workshop and closing ceremony were being broadcast in 15 countries through CATV Global (California Television Global). The initiative aimed to introduce Indian dance forms and cultural heritage to a wider global audience while providing valuable international exposure to local talent.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, all participants were honored with certificates in recognition of their dedication and achievements. Organizers reaffirmed their commitment to conducting similar cultural programs in the future to encourage artistic growth and promote India’s rich cultural legacy among youth
