Union Volleyball Tournament kicks-off in Jamshedpur

Teams Tata Prima, BS-VI and 4018 register win

Jamshedpur, Nov 21: Union Volleyball Tournament 2022-23 was inaugurated today at Volleyball Court, TML Sports Complex, Telco. Total 8 teams in 2 pool of Union category are participated in the event. In the first day, eight matches were played.

The first match of the day was played between Team Tata Prima and Team 4018. Team 4018 won the match by two straight sets 25-15 and 25-16.

The second match of the day was played between Team 1613 and Team Signa. Team Signa won the match by two straight sets 25-12 and 25-14.

In third match Team 3118 defeated Team 2518 by two straight sets 25-09 and 25-09.

In the fourth match Team BS-VI beat Team BS-IV by two straight sets 25-09 and 25-06.

In a closely fought match five Team Tata Prima players gave tough fight but finally Team 2518 emerged victorious by 2-1 sets with score line 25-16, 19-25 and 15-13.

Team BS-IV beat Team 1613 by two straight sets 25-11 and 25-08 in the sixth match.

The seventh match of the day was played between Team 4018 and Team 3118. Team 4018 won the match by two straight sets 25-18 and 25-21.

The eighth match of the day was played between Team Signa and Team BS-VI. Team Signa won the match by two straight sets 25-20 and 25-11.

Earlier, VN Singh, Head – Administration & Security, Tata Motors was the chief guest for the opening ceremony.

Gurmeet Singh, President and R K Singh, General Secretary of Tata Motors Workers Union, Rajat Singh, Head – Town Administration and other Senior Dignitary graced the occasion.
