Jamshedpur, Nov 21: Tata Motors Workers Union vice president Akash Dubey and member Harshvardhan submitted a copy of Jharkhand High Court order regarding the union elections on Monday. They also handed over a memorandum to the DC and demanded that the union elections be held within 15 days.
“We had moved the double bench of High Court demanding election of Tata Motors Workers Union. The court judgment has come on the matter and the union has been directed to organize the elections. If the district administration fails to hold the elections within 15 days, we will file a case against the district administration for contempt of court,” said Dubey.
Dubey said he had come to know earlier that the DC had not received the copy of HC judgment. Hence, he came to submit the copy, he said.
Dubey and Harshvardhan said the district administration should ensure execution of the HC double bench judgment.
