Union Budget aimed at making India self-reliant, boosting women empowerment: ASIA President Inder Agarwal

Jamshedpur: President of the Adityapur Small Industries Association (ASIA), Inder Agarwal, on Sunday welcomed the Union Budget, stating that it has been framed with a clear vision to make India self-reliant while significantly promoting women’s empowerment.

Reacting to the budget presented by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, Agarwal said the government has taken several forward-looking steps to strengthen domestic manufacturing and encourage indigenous industries. He noted that continued focus on infrastructure development, MSME support, ease of doing business and production-linked incentives will help small and medium industries become globally competitive and reduce dependence on imports.

Agarwal emphasised that the budget reflects the government’s commitment to the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat, particularly through enhanced capital expenditure, improved credit flow to MSMEs and encouragement to innovation-driven enterprises. He said these measures would create new employment opportunities and strengthen the industrial ecosystem in regions like Adityapur.

Highlighting the emphasis on women empowerment, the ASIA President said special provisions and policy support for women entrepreneurs, self-help groups and skill development initiatives will enable greater participation of women in economic activities. He added that empowering women financially is essential for inclusive growth and long-term national development.

Inder Agarwal expressed confidence that the budget’s focus on manufacturing, entrepreneurship and social inclusion will benefit industrial clusters across Jharkhand. He urged industry stakeholders to make optimum use of the opportunities created by the budget to contribute to India’s economic growth and self-reliance.
