UK invite for Jharkhand CM

Ranchi, December 21: British deputy high commissioner at Kolkata for east and north eastern states, Dr Andrew Fleming on Thursday met Jharkhand chief minister Hemant Soren in assembly hall.

Dr. Andrew Fleming met the Chief Minister and on behalf of the UK Government cordially invited the Hemant Soren to visit the UK.

 

It is known that on behalf of the department of Education and Department of Business and Trade of the UK Government, appreciating the work done by the Jharkhand Government under the leadership of Chief Minister Hemant Soren in the field of education, he has been invited to visit the United Kingdom.

 

The Chief Minister expressed his gratitude to the British Deputy High Commissioner for the invitation given by the UK Government.

 

The Chief Minister said that Jharkhand is ready to move forward with mutual cooperation.

 

The British Deputy High Commissioner appreciated the Chevening-Marang Gomke Overseas Scholarship Scheme by the Government of Jharkhand.

 

During the meeting, there was a detailed discussion on the development and possibilities of mutual cooperation in areas like education, especially girls education, as well as sports, tourism, climate change, sustainable mining etc
