Jamshedpur: A senior official of Uranium Corporation of India Limited (UCIL) Maheshwar Tiwary today inspected the stretch of road from UCIL Hospital Chowk to Jadugora More Chowk and inspected various prominent spots to review road safety situation.
He also held discussions with local intellectuals to find out a solution to the problem of road accidents. He said work was on to construct pavement on both side of the road from the hospital till Jadugora.
Encroachment will also be removed from the roadside to eliminate the problem of traffic congestion. He said speed breakers will be constructed afresh to prevent road accidents.
A road safety awareness camp will also be organized soon, he said. Tiwary said the chief executive officer-cum-managing director (CMD) of UCIL Diwakar Acharya had instructed him to inspect the road for safety review.
