Jamshedpur : UCIL is doing injustice to the local displaced people. The appointment process has been started on a pan-India level as part of a conspiracy to bring outsiders here by not giving jobs to local people, which is wrong. Ramdas Soren, District President of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha and Ghatshila MLA made the above statement at a press meet.

Talking to reporters at the Nirmal Guest House, Soren said that on December 6 Sunday, UCIL is preparing to complete the online restoration process. He said that if this process is not stopped then they will not allow the mine to run here.

Soren said that in the past, four organizations including the JMM had given a memorandum regarding the restoration of the utility. The vacancy that followed a year ago was postponed after the agitation. During that time, they were demanding priority for the displaced and educated unemployed. But now UCIL is preparing for online reinstatement and centers are being made at All India level for the placement test. The exam is to be held on 6 December. He said that the test is being taken at the All India level for the restoration of class III and IV by the local bypassing the local, which is wrong.

Soren said that if this test is not cancelled, then they will not allow the mine to run here. Ramdas Soren said that if the restoration process is adopted on the 6th, then we will undertake economic blockade in all four units of the unit, Bandhuudang, Bagjamada, Narwa and Jadugodha. With this, all the four units will be shut down till the announcement of 100 percent restoration.

MLA Sameer Mahanti, Suman Mahato, Pramod Lal, Rodeya Soren, Mohan Karmakar and Laltu Mahato were present at the press conference.
