Jamshedpur, Dec 4: Shivangi Thakur, a class 9 student of Little Flower School (LFS) Telco has bagged the second position in global speech competition at the international level. Organised by Project Vision, Shivangi represented Jharkhand and India in the competition which saw participation of students from countries including India, Srilanka, Nepal, United States, United Kingdom, Columbia, Australia and Qatar. Jamshedpur girl was crowned second in the online speech competition among 371 students representing 14 states and Union territories of India and 7 countries internationally.
This was informed by the Little Flower School management. Shivangi received a letter of appreciation and cash prize of Rs 15,000. School Principal congratulated Shivagi for the achievement and wished her luck for future endeavors.
Project Vision, an NGO, organizes the ‘Voice of the Eye’, a global speech competition, and create awareness on the donation of their eyes.
The theme of the completion is “An appeal for eye donation.”
The objective of this competition is to inspire people to donate their eyes and to express our solidarity with the visually challenged people across the world.
Project Vision has been working on improving the plight of the visually challenged people, especially through a movement on eye donation, to take them out of disability.
