Jamshedpur, Oct 6: UCIL employees are set to receive 55% bonus on their basic pay. Deputy General Manager (Personnel), Rakesh Kumar issued a notification to the effect on Friday, which has been posted on all notice boards to inform the workers’ unions. Following the UCIL management decision, a total amount of 59.82 million will be distributed among approximately 4,000 USIL employees on October 9.
Employees with a minimum basic pay of Rs 27,190 will receive a minimum amount of Rs 14,955, while those with higher basic pay will receive a maximum of Rs 38,812.
After the bonus announcement there was a wave of joy among UCIL employees in Jadugora, Turamdih, Narwa, and Tumma Pahadi. This amount will be paid as an advance for the financial year 2023-24.
It may be mentioned that last year, workers had gone on strike for a week demanding a bonus. Following negotiations between the company management and labor unions, it was agreed to provide a 55% bonus on the basic pay, and this decision had been upheld this this fiscal too, as per the announcement made by the UCIL Deputy General Manager, Rakesh Kumar.
