UCIL distributes goats among women

Jamshedpur: Uranium Corporation of Indian Limited (UCIL) provided 13 goats to the members of Jagriti Mahila Samiti in Borakanta village of Matigora panchayat in Jadugora on Friday. The additional manager of the company, D Hansda, said the goats were being given to the women with the view to uplift their financial condition. He said the Mahila Samiti should make sincere efforts to ensure that its members make profit through goat rearing and other similar activities. He said the UCIL management was carrying out such activities under its corporate social responsibility policy to improve the quality of life of the people living around it. Many people were present on the occasion They included Nehru Manjhi, MK Swain, Ram Chandra Majhi, Chitra Ranjan Singh, Pandu Purty and Miru Purty.
