Jamshedpur, May 3: Team Jamshedpur came out winners beating Ranchi by 10 runs in the JSCA Inter district U-16 match played at Birsa Munda Cricket stadium on Saturday.
Due to bad weather conditions the match was reduced to 15 over a side. After Saturday�s win Jamshedpur is on top of the table with 12 points from 3 wins in group A while Ranchi with two wins under their belt are second on the table with 8 points.
After winning the toss Ranchi decided to field first while Jamshedpur with the help of S Bhaskar rao 35 runs, Suresh Das 31 and Roshan Barla 18 made 99 in their 15 overs. Ranchi bowlers Ishan Thakur 16/2 and Iftikar Adil 21/1 made inroads.
Chasing 100 to win ranchi batsman managed 89 for 6 in 15 overs with Navneet jha 35 runs, Amar Jyoti 18 runs and Pankaj Kumar 18 runs. Jamshedpur bowlers Junaid Ashraf 15/2, Chandan Mukhi 15/2 and Ashish Thakur 24/2. Chandan Mukhi of Jamshedpur for his brilliant bowling spell was awarded Man of the Match.
