Two youth involved in Jamshedpur snatching incident arrested

Jamshedpur: In a swift operation, the police have successfully apprehended two individuals responsible for snatching a young man in Mango Chowk, within the jurisdiction of Mango police station. The stolen belongings have also been recovered from the perpetrators.

DSP Headquarters One, Bhola Prasad, revealed during a press conference that the victim, Gaurav Lohar, an employee at Swarnarekha Automobile in Mango, was having tea at a local shop in Mango Chowk around 8:30 pm last night after completing his work. At that moment, two criminals identified as Bittu Pramanik and Akash Shyamal arrived at the spot and assaulted him before committing the robbery. However, their nefarious act attracted attention, prompting bystanders to intervene. The timely intervention of the locals, coupled with the swift response of law enforcement, led to the apprehension of both culprits.

Subsequent search operations led to the recovery of the stolen money and other valuables from the perpetrators. It was revealed that Bittu Pramanik has a prior criminal record and has previously served time in jail for similar offenses. Following necessary interrogation, both individuals were remanded to judicial custody and subsequently sent to jail.
