Two suspects in Taklu Lohar murder case nabbed at Tatanagar Station

Jamshedpur, March 13: In a joint operation, the Railway Protection Force (RPF) and Government Railway Police (GRP) apprehended two persons, Abhijeet Mandal alias Kandi and Gaurav Kumar Ram, at the entry gate of Tatanagar Railway station. The arrested were carrying one country made pistol each and four live cartridges. Both Mandal and Ram are the prime suspects in the murder of Taklu Lohar who was shot dead in Sitaramdera on February 1. Railway DSP Headquarters 1, Jayashree Kujur, informed that the arrests were made on Tuesday night when the suspects were spotted acting suspiciously near the station entrance. Following interrogation, their identities were confirmed, and the weapons were seized from their possession.

According to DSP Kujur, the suspects had fled Jamshedpur after the murder and had recently returned from Mumbai on March 11. Their arrest came as they were en route to Kolkata from Jamshedpur. The Jamshedpur Police are now preparing to seek remand for further investigation in the case.
