Jamshedpur, Nov 2: Police achieved a major breakthrough in the firing case at businessman Hareram Singh’s residence in Sitaramdera’s Bhuiyandih area, where a ransom demand of ₹2 crore was made. Two shooters—Rajesh and Kundu alias Kodu Paji—linked to the notorious Prince Khan and Sujit Sinha gang were arrested from Shastri Nagar, Kadma.
During the raid, police recovered illegal weapons and live cartridges. Both accused had been absconding for several days. Acting on a tip-off, police conducted a late-night raid and captured them. “Both shooters were directly involved in the firing. Rajesh was driving the scooter while Kodu fired shots to create panic,” police sources revealed. Their images were caught on CCTV footage, leading to their identification and arrest.
Earlier, police had arrested another gang member, Akash Singh. The plot was first uncovered following the arrest of Dashrath Shukla, who confessed that the firing was ordered by gang leaders Prince Khan and Sujit Sinha to extort money. Shockingly, Sujit Sinha is known to orchestrate such crimes from inside jail.
Dashrath also told police that he worked for Sinha, his wife Riya Sinha and Prince Khan. He revealed that in October 2025, he and Akash Singh brought six pistols and 30 live cartridges from Ranchi, part of which were recovered from Rajesh and Kodu. Both arrested shooters have been charged under the Arms Act, Gangster Act and criminal conspiracy. Police are now searching for other gang members operating between Ranchi and Jamshedpur.
