Two MoUs signed for providing civic and allied services in town

Jamshedpur: JUSCO signed two different Memorandum of Understanding’s (MoU’s) – one with Tata Workers’ Union and second with Bagan Area Vikas Samitee for providing civic and allied services to the employees of Tata Steel and to the residents of Bagan Area on September 24, 2013 at JUSCO Board Room.

P N Singh, President, Tata Workers’ Union signed on behalf of Tata Workers’ Union and Prof. R N Singh, President, Bagan Area Vikas Samitee signed on behalf of the Samitee whereas from JUSCO, Ashish Mathur, Managing Director, JUSCO did the honour for both the MoU’s. Present during the occasion were Ritu Raj Sinha, GM (BDCS), Capt. D Mishra, GM (JTS), Office bearers of TWU & JSU, Sr. Executives of JUSCO and representatives from BAVS.

Since its inception, JUSCO has relentlessly worked towards providing quality services to all stakeholders in town. The objective was to uplift the standard of living and increase the economic activities of people residing in Jamshedpur.

Every year JUSCO conducts Quality of Life and Customer Satisfaction Survey through AC Nielsen to assess the satisfaction level of the customers and take appropriate action to bridge the gap highlighted in the survey. Both the MoU’s are reviewed every six month and compliance against the parameters is discussed at MD’s level.

Some of the major initiatives undertaken by JUSCO to improve the quality of life of the employees of Tata Steel and of the citizens of Jamshedpur at large are formulation and implementation of Maintenance Policy and Amenities Charter in company accommodation, changing of over head tank cleaning schedule from yearly to half yearly, create model area in Bistupur, conduct awareness campaign on civic responsibility, improve parking arrangements in market areas, construction of parks, etc

Representatives of Tata Workers’ Union and residents of Bagan Area highly appreciated the efforts of JUSCO and praised the good work done in the past. It was also decided that if required more points will be included in the MoU with TWU after discussing with Officer Bearers like seepage treatment, encroachment issues in market, etc.

JUSCO’s commitment towards the MoU’s will definitely bring about a change in the lifestyle of people and will lead to a better and beautiful Jamshedpur.
