Seraikela: Seraikela – Kharsawan Police struck success in a special drive conducted on the instructions of DGP across the state on Sunday. The police succeeded in arresting Sitaram Suri and Lal Singh Mahali, two active members of the PLFI’s Area Commander Deit Nag Squad. Both the above members of the banned militant group PLFI were active in Bundu Tamar, Aarki area. The Naxals were trying to carry out the incident. While giving the above information during the press briefing regarding the arrest of these two members of the PLFI squad, Seraikela Superintendent of Police Mohammad Arshi said that on October 4 on the directions of the Director General of Police and Inspector General, vehicle checking operation was going on in various police stations. During this time, the police got secret information that some people associated with the Naxalite organization were going towards Tamad with weapons on National Highway 33. Meanwhile, the police, along with the vehicle checking operation, detained two suspects in an auto near Urmal in Chauka police station area and during their search, a carbine, a desi katta, four 9mm bullets, Including one 315 bullet was recovered. After this, the police arrested both PLFI members Sitaram Suri and Lal Singh Mahali from the spot, the same police also seized the auto.
Police research has revealed that Sitaram Suri Adaki, an arrested PLFI member, has been involved in various Naxal incidents in the Murhu police station area, the same Lal Singh Mahli has gone to jail in the murder case from the Tamar police station area. The SP of the district said that many cases have been registered against both of them in Aarki, Murhu and Tamar police stations. The SP said that both of them have admitted their involvement in several Naxalite incidents before the police. The arrest of both active members of PLFI’s Area Commander Dit Nag Squad is seen as a breakthrough for the district police.
