Saraikela police bust inter-state thief gang, six arrested

Seraikela : The district police have busted an inter-state thief gang by arresting six accused, who have been synonymous with terror for the past five years in the Kolhan division. In this regard, Superintendent of Police Mohammad Arshi said that in the last few days, especially in view of the theft of four-wheelers in different police station areas, a search drive was launched. For this, a special team was formed by the Superintendent of Police under the leadership of Sub-Divisional Police Officer Seraikela and Sub-Divisional Police Officer Chandil.

 On October 2, on the basis of secret information by the raiding team formed on the instructions of the Superintendent of Police, the gang masterminds Dheeraj Sharma alias Munna Sharma and Manish Srivastava were arrested for stealing four-wheelers from Kapali OP area. A sharp key made of iron rod was recovered from them. And involvement in various incidents of theft was admitted.

On October 3, Mohammad Phoolahsan and Ashraf Hasan were arrested from Supaul Bihar on the spotlight of both the accused. Sumo gold stolen from Mango police station area on the spot of Ashraf was recovered from Araria district last September. Raids are on for stolen boleros from Kapali OP area.

The SP said that Mohammad Alauddin was arrested from Patna Bihar on 4 October in order of raids. It was accepted by Govinda Dey and Bacha Mishra of Jamshedpur to buy the stolen vehicles and sell them as scrap. The stolen Bolero was recovered from the Sitaramdera area of Agrico police station on the night of 28�29 September under the guise of Mohammad Alauddin. And eight theft incidents were reported in August and September, arresting Govinda Dey, Bacha Mishra alias Nihar Mishra and Raju Kalindi.

 Seraikela Subdivision Police Officer Rakesh Ranjan and Chandil Subdivision Police Officer Dhirendra Narayan Banka were also present at the press conference.

Items recovered: – Sumo gold stolen from MGM Jamshedpur police station area. Bolero of Mahindra Company stolen from Sitaramdera Jamshedpur police station area. The iron key key used to start the vehicle.
