Jamshedpur, Aug 6: Friday morning brought bad news for Chakulia residents of East Singhbhum district. Two young lives met untimely death on Friday morning due to slight carelessness. Two youths were killed when a speeding bike collided with a pile of bricks placed on the roadside on the Shishakhun road leading to Bengal, just a kilometer from Birsa Chowk in the city. The accident happened around 6.30 am. Devanshu Bera, son of Kaushik Bera, a resident of Namopara in the city and Vishal Jena, son of Pradyut Jena, who works in the postal department, both left in the morning to go to the gym in Namopara on the same bike. In this sequence, both the enthusiastic youths went ahead of the gym on Shishakhun Marg to fill petrol in the bike. The bike was at a very high speed ended up with a collision pickup van came from the front. To escape, as soon as Vishal, who was riding the bike, took a left, the bike collided with a pile of bricks kept on the roadside for the construction of the house. After hitting a pile, the unbalanced bike moved forward and collided again with another pile of bricks. The accident was so severe that both the youths died on the spot. Both the youths killed in the accident had passed the matriculation examination in first division in the same year. Coming out of adolescence, he had just reached the threshold of puberty. A whole life full of possibilities was in front of him. Two days ago, both of them had also enrolled in the Polytechnic College, Baharagora.Â
