Jamshedpur, Nov. 5: Two persons, including a 40-year-old woman were killed in train mishap in and around the steel city on Tuesday.
While body of the 40-year-old woman was found lying along the track near Gwala Bustee in Rahargora under Parsudih police station, the other body that of a 75-year-old man was found lying along the track in Manikpura village under Dhalbhumgarh police station area in Ghatshila.
The police said both the bodies are unidentified and they have been sent to the MGM Medical College mortuary for post-mortem. The investigation is on.
OC, Parsudih police station, Jagdish Prasad said that they want to know whether the woman was killed due to a fall from a running train or was killed on being hit by a train while crossing the track. She might have also committed suicide by coming before a running train,” said Prasad.
The OC, Parsudih said they made an Inquest on the body after being informed.
Thakur said even if is a case of suicide, then the deceased must be local, but no once could identify it though so many people came to see the body which was lying at the spot for more than three hours since 8 am.
The police have kept the body at the medical college mortuary for 72 hours. They are expecting that someone might turn up to claim the body.
