Jamshedpur: Two persons were seriously injured in a road accident at Lake View Road near Dhatkidih under Bistupur police station area late Wednesday night. They were identified as Sandeep Agrawal and Rameshwar Rao. They were taken to Tata Main Hospital where their condition was reportedly critical.
Sources said the mishap occurred around 10 pm when Sandeep and Rameshwar were on their way to Kadma on a two-wheeler. Near Lake View Road, a speeding car knocked down the two-wheeler from behind. In the impact, the two-wheeler collided with a roadside tree after being dragged for around 50 metre, sources said.
Police seized the car and lodged a case against the errant driver. Eyewitnesses reportedly told police the car driver could have averted the incident by slowing down his vehicle.
