Jamshedpur, May 11: Tata Motors’ Jamshedpur plant is set to undergo a block closure on May 13, which falls on Monday. The closure will extend for two days, including Sunday, May 12. Plant Head Ravindra Kulkarni has issued a circular outlining this temporary shutdown. Operations are scheduled to resume on Tuesday following the two-day closure.
Additionally, May 25 has been designated as a holiday for the Lok Sabha elections, as communicated through another circular. All employees are encouraged to exercise their voting rights on this day.
The decision for the block closure in May is attributed to the observed decline in demand for Tata Motors vehicles, prompting the company to adjust production schedules accordingly.
