Jamshedpur, May 11: Chandan Kumar Prasad from Jamshedpur has been conferred the title of “International Arbiter” by World Chess Federation and the All India Chess Federation.
This recognition stands as a testament to Prasad’s years of unwavering dedication, passion, and hard work in the field of chess adjudication.
Expressing his elation, Chandan Kumar Prasad stated, “Being appointed as an International Arbiter is a dream come true for me. It not only acknowledges my expertise in the game but also signifies a commitment to upholding the highest standards of fairness, professionalism, and integrity in chess tournaments both nationally and internationally.”
Chess coach Prasad further extended his gratitude towards the World Chess Federation, the All India Chess Federation, the All Jharkhand Chess Association, and the East Singhbhum District Chess Association for their unwavering support and guidance throughout his chess journey.
He remarked, “It is truly humbling to receive this recognition from the World Chess Federation & All India Chess Federation of India. I am deeply grateful for the support and guidance I have received throughout my Chess journey by ‘All Jharkhand Chess Association’ & ‘East Singhbhum District Chess Association’. I am committed to upholding the highest standards of fairness and professionalism in my role as an International Arbiter in the field of Chess.”
Chandan, who also runs a Chess Academy, emphasized his father’s unwavering support and guidance, which has been instrumental since the outset of his chess career.
Chandan Kumar Prasad reflected on his journey of continuous learning and growth.
Notably, he has served as an arbiter in various prestigious tournaments, including 13th KIIT International Chess Festival-2022 (Category ‘A’), held from May 22 to 29, 2022, in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. Tata Steel Asian Junior Rapid Chess Championship-2023, conducted on September 8, 2023, in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand. Tata Steel Asian Junior Chess Championship-2023, held from September 8 to 15, 2023, in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand. 1st Matrix Cup International Open FIDE Rating Chess Tournament-2023, organized from October 9 to 13, 2023, in Delhi.
